SUMMER’S trends were given a final outing at this weekend’s V Festival in Hylands Park, where stylish music fans were treated to a line-up including Florence and The Machine, Kasabian and Kings Of Leon.

Looming grey clouds and the odd burst of rain saw Topshop’s pac-a-parkas coming out in force, but as the weather brightened up the fashion did too, and we were treated to the best of the season’s key looks, all complemented with golden tans courtesy of St.Tropez’s handily placed tanning tent.

The style camp seemed split, with some girls opting for the prettiest of pastel layers while others toughened up their festival looks with Eighties accessories – such as acid wash denim, printed playsuits and thigh-high boots.

Meanwhile it was all about the legs for the female performers, with Diana Vickers, Taylor Momsen and Pixie Lott in teeny-tiny dresses – though Lott gave autumn/winter 2010-11 a nod in Henry Holland’s new season suspender-style tights.

Off stage and we spied Sir Richard Branson in The Virgin Media Louder Lounge to see his son Sam’s band, Delilah, play an exclusive set, while Drew Barrymore – dressed in a suede fringed top – introduced Boxer Rebellion, who appear in her latest film Going The Distance.
