On all accounts, the Victoria Beckham Spring 2011 show was a ladylike affair. The singer-turned-fashion designer, who recently garnered a nomination from the British Fashion Council, held an intimate show at a home on New York’s Upper East Side, where waiters passed cups of coffee to seated guests.

Beckham narrated the entire presentation, leading editors through each of her new designs—many of which are bound to become favorites on the red carpet. She admitted that certain looks required her to step outside of her comfort zone, which, until recently, seemed dominated by corseted little black dresses and pencil skirts.

Beckham told editors she felt compelled to celebrate curves this season, eschewing some of her signature corsetry in favor of looser, more comfortable silhouettes. Beckham presented the dresses with copper-colored Brian Atwood pumps designed to resemble her coveted vintage Rolex.

This season also featured the debut of Victoria Beckham handbags and eyewear; Expect to see Mrs. Beckham wearing some fabulous sparkling sunglasses the next time she is photographed at Heathrow.
