STELLA MCCARTNEY is launching her first own-label childrenswear line – a capsule collection that will reflect her signature aesthetic.

“As a brand with many working parents in the team, I wanted to create a desirable, fun, wearable kids collection that was affordable,” says McCartney. “I feel like all the timeless children’s wear is reserved for the expensive brands and that did not sit well with me, kids and parents, aunts, uncles, friends, should all be able to have access to Stella McCartney Kids clothes. We have tried to make that possible in this first collection, and hope it is enjoyed!”

The range will cater to boys and girls aged up to 12-years-old and is made up of fabrics that focus on practicality as much as they do style, including organic cotton onesies, floral printed dresses, quilted field jackets and rubber rain boots. The collection will be available primarily online with the launch of STELLAMCCARTNEYKIDS.COM – a dedicated kidswear site featuring a playground section inviting parents and children to interact online. Prices start from £15 for a T-shirt.

The range will be available from November 3 and can be previewed here at www.stellamccartneykids.com.
