THE St Andrews Charity Fashion Show is on the hunt for this year’s top emerging designer in a new competition dedicated to raising the profiles of UK-based fashion talent.

A celebration of the charity’s nineteenth birthday, The Alfa Romeo Young Designer Award will entitle the winner to a £1,000 cash prize, the opportunity to design a fashion line and an exclusive feature and spread in the charity’s FS Magazine. Five finalists will be chosen to create a capsule collection to be presented in a photo shoot as well as in the FS 2011 fashion show on February 26 next year.

St Andrews Charity Fashion Show, which has been hailed as a key event on Scotland’s social calendar, is a student-run organisation set up with the aim of giving young talent a platform.
