Gaga’s Changing Colours

God bless Lady Gaga and her burning desire to change up her hair on a regular basis. Were it not for her and Rihanna, our job would be significantly more difficult. Feast your eyes on the latest from the Fame Monster, who was spotted this morning in London sporting blue pepper-hued color blocks over long salt strands with teal, dip-dyed tips at the bottom. Her egg yolk yellow days were cool, but this just may be our favorite color incarnation yet. You too?

What’s Your Gaga For?

According to Internet speculation, he also goes by the name Lady Gaga. That’s certainly the easiest way to explain his never-before-seen presence on the cover of September’s Vogue Hommes Japan, shot by Gaga go-to Nick Knight and styled by her own stylist, Nicola Formichetti, who leaked a few preview images on his blog this morning. (In fairness, he’s also Vogue Hommes Japan’s fashion editor.) Whoever Calderone is, he/she gave an interview to Jo-Ann Furniss explaining his background (maybe):

How would you describe what you do/your occupation?
Mechanic for my dad’s business. This is the first time I’ve had my picture taken.

What are your ambitions?
I’d love to own my own car shop; I have a bunch of my own “muscle” cars. Maybe if I take some more pictures I can afford it.

What is your relationship to Lady Gaga?
I met her at a shoot Nick Knight was doing. She’s fuckin’ beautiful, and funny, and interesting. I was a little nervous for Nick to start shooting. She said, “Don’t be, baby, you were ‘born this way. ” I took her out after. The rest is private ; )

If he’s got anything to do with Lady G., it won’t be private for long.

While much of the beauty world is buzzing over two big fragrance announcements today—Katy Perry and Vogue Nippon fashion director Anna Dello Russo will both reportedly launch signature scents in time for the holidays—we’ve got another hot tip for you.

A very reliable insider has informed Style.com from her perch atop a pretty major beauty company that those Lady Gaga perfume rumors that were speculated and then refuted in the same week are in fact true. Coty is not, as previously mentioned, the brand behind the forthcoming eau de Gaga; but the fame monster’s people have been shopping around for a brand with whom to partner on not one but a series of Gaga-helmed scents, all of which will reportedly explore a unisex theme. (That’s something the “Alejandro” singer has a fair bit of experience with—by which, of course, we mean we think that is her in male drag in Vogue Hommes Japan, not that she’s actually a tranny. We don’t think.) More importantly: You heard it here first.

Presented mostly without comment: Noted contemporary artist Lady Gaga’s new contribution to Inside/Out, the exhibition at Nick Knight’s SHOWstudio.com Shop. (The show, sans Gaga piece has been up since the end of June; it runs through August 14.) Armitage Shanks is a urinal placed on its side and scrawled with the words “I’m not fucking Duchamp but I love pissing with you.” Knight snapped the above photo of the artist installing her work. Collectors, please note: This piece is not for sale.
