Tatler’s Book Party

TATLER celebrated the launch of its 2010 Little Black Book with a party at Tramp last night. The annual list of the nation’s “hottest eligibles” this year features models Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Edie Campbell at the top of the list of girls, with VOGUE.COM blogger David Gandy as the third most eligible man – after Ed Westwick and Dizzee Rascall.

Katie Price – who doesn’t feature on the list – made an appearance at Tramp, where she joined Little Black Bookers Zafar Rushdie, Tyrone Wood and Violet and Victoria von Westenholz. There, they all enjoyed Perrier-Jouet Champagne and canapés including fillet of beef crostini with salsa verde and dolcelatte, marinated foie gras on toast, with nectarines, parma ham wrapped chicken skewers, mini Tramp burgers and Moroccan spiced lamb skewers with smoked aubergine.

The list, which is inside the December issue (on sale today), also features Daisy Lowe, stylist Caroline Sieber and Julia Restoin Roitfeld.

The H&M Home Party

IT was a busy day for H&M yesterday. After previewing its Lanvin for H&M collection to a very enthusiastic group of fashion editors during the day, last night the brand launched its homeware range.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Roisin Murphy and Jaime Winstone made us jealous in their Lanvin for H&M dresses, as they feathered their nests with pieces from the home collection.

As expected, H&M’s broad appeal translated perfectly into pieces for bedrooms, bathrooms and living rooms that were snapped up by chef Gizzi Erskine, VV Brown, Hayley Atwell and Clara Paget.

Lulu&Co Launch Party

THE fifth floor of Harvey Nichols was strewn with gold foil and paper cut-outs last night as the fashion pack came together to kick up their heels for the launch party of Lulu & Co’s collection of dresses. Lulu herself was resplendent in a Jonathan Saunders dress, as she played host to the designers whose talents she has nurtured over ten years as the founder of Fashion East.

Joining Henry Holland, Richard Nicoll, Holly Fulton, Marios Schwab and Jonathan Saunders was Josephine de la Baume, Poppy Delevingne, Pixie Geldof, Roisin Murphy and Jade Parfitt – who all wore the dresses from the Lulu & Co collection of dresses created by ten designers from the Fashion East collective.

Hibiscus margaritas and prosecco and food from Bistrotheque went down a treat with the glamorous guests, who danced to DJ sets from Henry Holland, Princess Julia and Hazel and enjoyed sweet treats from the outdoor churros stand.

The Art Parties

OCTOBER in London means the art set is out in force, with dozens of private views, exhibition openings and gallery parties happening across the city. The big daddy of them all, Frieze Art Fair, opened yesterday with a brunch hosted by COS, where Claudia Schiffer, Jade Parfitt and Colin McDowell all took a tour of over 2,000 artworks.

Later, Sheherezade Goldsmith, Valentino’s Giancarlo Giametti, Nancy Dell’Olio, Mollie Dent-Brocklehurst and Ben Grimes dropped in to check out the artworks from artists including Tracy Emin, Alex Buldakov, David Shrigley and Chris Ofili.

Kate’s Party

IT was a supermodel showdown on Bond Street last night, as Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell both hosted parties on the last night of the London Fashion Week womenswear shows. At the Longchamp store, Kate was hosting a soirée to celebrate her latest collection of handbags for the brand.

The Pommery was flowing as Kate was joined by fashion editors and her friends, including David Gandy, Mario Testino, Meg Matthews, Jo Wood, Donna Air and Sadie Frost.

Upstairs, it was a fashion scrum as glossy sorts jostled to greet Kate and check out her new handbags. Meanwhile, downstairs, an impromptu dance floor sprung up as everyone let their hair down after a hectic day of shows that included Burberry, Marios Schwab and Fashion East.

WATSON’S Garden Party Show

EMMA WATSON’S People Tree collection will make its catwalk debut this September – not at London Fashion Week but at The Prince of Wales’ eco festival, A Garden Party To Make A Difference.

The fashion show of the actress’ spring/summer 2011 collection will take place on September 12 at 3.30pm and will be held in the historic Friary Court of St James’ Palace.

Watson created her first collection for the Fair Trade and organic clothing label last year, frustrated by the lack of clothing aimed at people her age.

“I’m so thrilled that People Tree will be showing the spring/summer collection at A Garden Party To Make A Difference. I think The Prince of Wales’ initiative is such a brilliant idea and I’m thrilled,” says Watson of her involvement with the event – at which she will introduce the show via a video message as she will be unable to attend in person.

The twelve-day festival will also feature performances from comedians and musicians.

“This festival aims to give people of all ages a fun day out,” says HRH The Prince of Wales.

Beach & party outfit!

Fashionoffice has selected some pieces which are designed for the glamorous look on the beach and summer parties. fig.: beginning with the woman in the… ‘Ermione’ balconette bra with ‘Cassandra’ brief in violet from the ‘Privata Beachwear’ line by the Italian brand ‘Porzia T’, SS2010.

In September 2008, fashion designer Paola Tessariol has founded the lingerie and accessories label on inspiration of William Shakespeare’s 16th century character ‘Porzia’ from the play ‘The Merchant of Venice’. Porzia T shows with a video the style of her lingerie line.

Shakespeare’s Porzia expresses for Paola Tessariol a woman who unifies beauty, nobility, passion and pride. In ‘The Merchant of Venice’, Porzia appears dressed up as a male lawyer in front of the court, where (s)he delivers arguments by following the frame work of the law – regardless if the arguments are unjust – to save a man’s life from another man who has shown no will to be merciful, but insisted on a legal and cruel judgement. (Video scene from the 2004 movie with Jeremy Irons and Al Pacino; Lynn Collins plays Porzia.) William Shakespeare represents with the character ‘Porzia’ women who are taking future in their own hands.

T-shirt in glam-rock style with face print by the German brand ‘Rich & Royal’, seen at the Viennese shop ‘Karin Kasaj‘, SS2010. Photo: (C) Florian Herzog. The shop ‘Karin Kasaj’ has sent the advice to wear the t-shirt under a sweater for the sportive look, or to combine it with a blazer for a more classical style.

The website of ‘Rich & Royal‘ is nice. It opens with a fullscreen making-of video for the women’s and men’s collections; ‘Rich & Royal’ names them ‘Queens Collection’ and the ‘Kings Collection’. The denim collection is exclusively presented with moving pictures showing a man and a woman up to the middle of the body in their jeans. They are walking into and out of the picture in a living room where luggage stands; a man’s black hat becomes an interactive utensil.
