Jessica Alba in Valentino Couture

Jessica Alba wore yet another Valentino Couture piece to the premiere of her latest film, Machete, at the Venice Film Festival earlier this week. The actress has become something of an unofficial ambassador for the famed Italian fashion house, having worn another dress from the most recent couture line on Monday.

Alba picked a particularly trendy look for her big premiere, taking to the red carpet in a strapless black dress with a thigh-skimming hemline in front that extended into a long, lace train in the back. Similar looks have worked on the likes of Beyoncé Knowles and Christina Aguilera

All eyes were on Jessica Alba at the Los Angeles premiere of Machete on Thursday, as the star was decked out in one fabulous mini dress by Balmain.

The zigzag-patterned frock came with all the right Balmain signatures: strong, angular shoulders and a lot of texture. Alba paired her gold-and-black sequins with some very hot Christian Louboutin cut-out booties—Tinazata 120s, to be precise. An on-trend gold manicure, artfully tousled waves and lots of mascara helped to make this a truly winning look.

Jessica plays something of a renegade in this film—it’s nice to see her matching the energy of her character on the red carpet, too.
